The Evergreen range is 100% Synthetic, Vegan friendly.
The Ultra Thin Long Flats are thinner in body than the regular Evergreen Long Flats. The width of the brushes are exactly the same, but the filament is halved. They don't pick up as much paint, and they allow layers. We also make the Ultra Thin Short Flats in the Evergreen range.
A welcome addition to any oil or acrylic artists' brush collection.
"I've used Rosemary Evergreen brushes for some years and liked the mark they made when using them with oils or acrylic paint. They are a reliable springy brush that enable good, accurate application of colour whether in a dry form or fully loaded and in-between. They clean up well and the longevity of use is welcome.
I use the long flats particularly but sometimes I need a 'sharper' edge to make a line or paint to 'cut in' against an existing piece or area already painted. On some occasions the brushes would, regardless of how I presented it to the canvas give a less precise lay-down. I'm delighted that after a conversation with Rosemary they have developed an "ultra thin" skinny version, not as fully loaded with bristles but same design, which holds its shape at the tip much better. I have used the trial brushes and can honestly report that these work so well. I'm now using them out of choice which suits my style. It's a treasure to have a brush that not only keeps giving but holds up when you need that precision. Much more efficient than going to a smaller brush because the skinnies hold pretty much the same load of paint as the regular Evergreens.
