"I have a Masters degree in Art Education and taught in the public schools for 35 years. My painting studies are as follows: Robert Brackman for two summers in Madison, CT., Courtney Hunt and Cleve Miller both from Jacksonville, FL. I basically paint in a Baroque manner utilizing the chiaroscuro method; the play of light against dark. I retired from the educational field in 2000 and opened a 5000 sq. ft. studio where I teach an average of 60 adult students every year in Gluckstadt, Ms. I teach on Monday and Tuesday, morning and night (4 classes). The rest of my time is spent painting, hunting and fishing.

Stephanie Birdsall introduced me to Rosemary brushes in 2015. I absolutely fell in love with the Series 2025. Chungking Long Flat. I was using another well known brush for many years. After using the Chungking, I was convinced that there was not another brush that was comparable to it. The way that the bristles accept and release the paint is exactly what I have searched for during the 50 years that I have been painting.
