"Although I am well versed in most media, I have a passion for water media and particularly painting en plein air (outdoors) for the immediate visual feedback and immersion experience. Using all my senses to observe, absorb, and interpret a scene into how it makes me feel is what I try to paint; responding to what I see rather than making a photographic representation.

Plein air painting is fast, fresh, and exhilarating. The goal being to capture the essence of what is before you amidst changing light and conditions that aren’t always pleasant is something only the heartiest of painters can manage. There is nothing like it to make you feel totally alive and connected to Nature when you are trying to capture the moment!”

I don’t have to worry about bristles breaking or shedding and the range of sables to synthetics gives great flexibility for each situation and media.

Some of my favourite brushes are my Signature Georgia Mansur sable mop with a very fine point which holds tons of pigment and means I don’t have to reload my brush so often.

I also love the Eradicator brushes for lifting and blending with razor point accuracy.
