Christine Lashley Oil Brush Set

Christine has taught US and international workshops for over 20 years and is a Signature Member of: Oil Painters of America (OPA), Plein Air Painters of the Southeast, and Salmagundi NYC. She has won numerous top art contest awards, been a cover artist for Plein Air Magazine, and is faculty at the Plein Air Convention, Plein Air Live, and Figurative Art Convention. She paints solvent-free and uses her brushes to manipulate the paint to perform with direct painting and layering techniques.

“I can be hard on my brushes with scrubbing, layering and scumbling. Painting with unique solvent-free methods, I rarely clean my brushes, and often I load paint up the ferrule in ‘stacking mixes’ of multiple hues. There are times I grind the paint into the canvas like a polish. Rosemary brushes meet the challenge of how I work and have consistently out-performed other brushes for the ability to make beautiful brush marks after years of use.”

This list is a set for small-medium oil paintings, for large art you can add more Ivory and Ultimate brushes, and in some larger sizes. For watercolor studies (as shown in my videos and in online classes) I use the R3 pocket sable.
