Jane Hunt Essentials Set

Colorado oil painter Jane Hunt is a Master Signature Member of Plein Air Painters of New Mexico and a Signature Member of Women Artists of the West, Plein Air Artists of Colorado, and Laguna Plein Air Painters Association.

Her work is represented by notable galleries in the US as well as her native England.

“This is a great essentials set of the brushes I favor for plein air and in the studio (for up to about 24x30” paintings above which I add a couple of larger brushes).

In 30 years of painting I have never found brushes that keep their shape and hold up this well. The ivory short flats are my favorite all purpose brushes, offering amazing stroke control and edge retention. The Evergreen short flats are perfect for creating softer passages and edges. The smaller pointed rounds I use for everything from a precise signature to the loose calligraphic strokes of tree limbs.
