A: Ok, great question! The Series 22 is the longer hair, the Series 8 is in-between. I would say the 22's are closer to the 402's. Our new catalogue is out in the next 6 weeks - the Series 8's will be in there, actual size! :)

A: Hello, In the Series 8 Kolinsky Sable brushes I have the #4 and #6 brushes. The points are perfect on both for fine detail. The only difference is the paint load is greater in the larger #6 brush, of course. For extremely fine detail, perhaps try #3 as well as #4 and #5. You will enjoy using these brushes, I'm sure! A: I recently purchased the Series 8 brush, size 4, and 6. Two if each. I am so pleased to have found a brush with the following qualities: the belly, and beautiful long and tapered tip are perfect for delivering two important watercolor needs in one brush. I can load lots of water to the paper, and then use the tip to distribute the water , and color around edges and tight areas. It keeps its point. It also takes up extra water if desired.
Also, important is the way the brushes feel balanced in my hand, the way it carries the water and paint around evenly. A great series to get the job done with confidence.
